Working alongside the rest of the design team at North Lindsey College, we decided this year that we were going to take a completely fresh approach to the Prospectus for 2017-18.
For those that don't know, a prospectus could be considered a college's number one marketing tool for promoting the range of courses available. It's this document which tends to dictate the look and feel for all other promotional materials that will run for the following year. On this occasion, we decided to run with the theme of 'onomatopoeia's' (in a nutshell: words that sound like sounds). These would form part of a bold mix of studio photography, hand drawn sketches and type for the feature pages of the document.
I'm glad to say the project has been a huge success and the whole thing has been so well recieved. It's so very easy to often find yourself in a bit of a bubble, doing things 'your' way and not really straying from what you believe to be comfortable. Working on projects like this alongside other creatives really does have a unique energy and enthusiam that can't really be achieved when working alone; something that I found to be a nice change.
